Meridian: resume template with a navy spine
A navy spine down the left edge and rule-free sections. Popular with data and BI folk.
Meridian is one of 22 free résumé templates in PaperKit, the no-login résumé builder from CodeSierra. It is free to use and free to download as a PDF (no account, no watermark and nothing to pay) and it prints to A4 or US Letter. Meridian is a showcase layout, so send it where a person reads your résumé first and keep an ATS-safe template for job portals. You fill it in as a form with the real PDF rendering beside you, and switching to any other template carries your content across untouched.

Pick Meridian if…
- You want one strong graphic element and nothing else.
- Your sections are short and rules would only add noise.
- You are in data, BI, research or analytics.
What to know before you send it
- Full-height colour spine is a background graphic
- Rule-free heads rely on colour alone
- Bleed edge often clipped when printed
- Applying through a job portal as well? Keep an ATS-first template for that copy: switching costs nothing.
How much fits on one page
Rule-free sections save a few lines, so Meridian fits more than most Showcase layouts, around four or five roles. The navy spine runs the full height of the paper and is often clipped by home and office printers, so check the bleed before you print a stack.
When to use something else
Sections here are separated by colour alone rather than by a rule, which disappears in a black and white photocopy and in most parsers. Plainline gives you the same rule-free calm in a form that survives both.
Meridian works well for these roles
Each example comes with profession-specific bullets you can edit in place.
Questions about Meridian
- Is the Meridian resume template free?
- Yes. Meridian is free: no login, no watermark and nothing to pay at the download step. You can edit it in your browser and download the PDF straight away. Every PaperKit template is free the same way, in all four makers: there is no premium set and nothing to unlock.
- Is Meridian ATS-friendly?
- Meridian is a Showcase layout: it uses decorative styling and a photo slot, which some applicant tracking systems parse poorly. Use it when a person will read your resume first, and switch to an ATS-first template for automated applications: your content carries over.
- Can I switch away from Meridian later?
- Yes. Templates are a design layer over your content, so you can change template at any point inside the editor without retyping or losing a single line.
