Why Ashford is a print-first layout
- The cream is a fill across the whole page. It looks warm on screen and on paper, but a scanner sees a tinted page and OCR gets less contrast to work with.

- Yes, as a light tint across the printable area. Home and office printers cannot reach the paper edge, so a thin white border shows around it. You can also print Ashford on ivory or cream paper. Either way the effect is subtle, and the text stays dark against it.
